COMENTARIO SOBRE A CANCIÓN “MAN IN THE MIRROR” DE MICHAEL JACKSON:

A canción comeza cun sonido de campá mentres Michael inicia o primeiro verso cunha voz moi tenue. Os instrumentos vanse añadindo pouco a pouco mentres a interpretación de Michael vai crecendo progresivamente. Esta canción ten a percusión moi presente, dende os chasquidos de Michael nun par de ocasións clave (no comezo e na modulación), ata a campá de vaca, que se oe nos primeiros coros. O tema crece pouco a pouco e os coros fanse máis fortes ata que chega o momento no que o tono cambia e a canción pasa de ser una balada pop a una canción completamente góspel con piano incorporado aos teclados anteriores. O elemento máis importante a partir da modulación é o coro góspel, que acompaña ás improvisacións de Michael.

Esta canción non foi escrita por Michael Jackson, senon por Siedah Garret y Glen Ballard, que tamén foron os que escribirom a estructura de acordes e a línea melódica. Díxose moito da preciosa letra desta canción, que describe perfectamente a situación de pobreza no mundo.
